Quote & Invoice Terms & Conditions

  • All quotes and the pricings are vaild for 30 days only.
  • All invoices derived from quotes are subject to our terms and conditions stipulated.
  • Unless otherwise specified, all prices exclude VAT.
  • Upon receipt of this signed acceptance, an invoice will be raised for the amount quoted.
  • Strictly no refunds once work on creative or development has commenced.
  • All deposits are none refundable. If the client opts out of the project once is has commenced, no moniess will be refunded whatsoever.
  • All development, content and design remains the property of Social Connect until such time as full payment has been received.
  • Monthly invoices will be issued before the end of the month and payment is due within 7 working days.
  • Social Connect reserves the right to suspend or cancel your email and website hosting service due to non payment of your account.
  • All delays caused from none payment or receipt of information or any other from the client, may result in time delays and deadlines being moved out, without penalty to Social Connect.
  • It is recommended that your domain is ready before we can start with your project. We will register your domain within 24 hours but it could take longer if we need to transfer your existing domain to us.
  • Domains are automatically renewed on an annual basis. If Social Connect is managing the domains on the clients behalf, domains will be automatically renewed unless otherwise advised.
  • Website hosting and management are not included in the website package price.
  • All hosting and management fees are non transferable and non refundable once they have been paid.
  • Our websites are developed on the DotNetNuke platform and require a Windows server for hosting. Please note that our websites cannot be hosted on a Linux server.
  • If the client chooses to host their website themselves or via another party, it is noted here that no free support can be offered on the site whatsoever. If support is required, it will be billed at R385 per hour.
  • All website content and business relevant images are to be supplied to Social Connect.
  • Should you require Social Connect to write your website content and/or to photograph your products there is an additional charge of R385 per hour (excluding travelling costs).
  • Where images are not supplied, Social Connect can provide good quality images at R85 per image. 
  • All content (text) must be sent to us in Word format. Pictures have to be JPEG, GIF or PNG. Pictures and info must not be sent in PDF format or embedded in Word documents.
  • Where Social Connect is responsible for the design of the artwork, we will send it to the client to proof and it will only go live once the client has approved and signed off the artwork.
  • Stipulated production time period will only begin on your website once we have received the deposit payment and all the information and pictures that you would like to be displayed on your website.
  • Client is to make sure that there are no copyright infringements on content and pictures supplied to us to use for your website, as you will be held accountable for any infringements. By accepting these terms and conditions you confirm that there are no copyright infringements and you indemnify Social Connect against any claims for any copyright infringement.
  • Social Connect is only responsible for the design and development of the client website (and where stipulated, the hosting, site management and maintenance) and is in no way affiliated with the content or products / services associated within the website.
  • Social Connect reserves the right to offer products and services, without consent, to clients within the same industry.
  • In the case of an eCommerce website, with all and any online store payments, Social Connect will not be held responsible for any unauthorised or fraudulent payments. Social Connect will put sufficient steps in place to create an environment for safe online payments but will, by no means or circumstances, be liable for loss or damages caused by fraud on the site, whatsoever. By signing these terms and conditions, the client recognises and accepts these conditions and indemnifies Social Connect against any claims whatsoever.

  Content and Images  
 

All website content and business relevant images are to be supplied to Social Connect

 
  Should you require Social Connect to write your website content and/or to photograph your products there is an additional charge of R385 per hour  
  Social Connect will start with your website once we have received all the information and pictures that you would like to be displayed on your website

  Hosting  
 

Hosting is not included in the website package price

 
  We guarantee 99.9% up time on all our websites/hosting  
  Social Connect only provides website hosting for websites that they have developed   
  Website hosting is on a shared server  
     
  Email Branding  
  There is a mandatory licence fee of R60 per email user, per month  
  Management fees or ad-hoc fees will be billed accordingly   
  A minimum of 5 users is required  
  There is an initial minimum period of 3 months  
  No design work is included in the Email Branding setup or licence fees  
  Once paid, hosting fees are non transferable and non refundable  
     
  Bulk Email Sending  
  There is a mandatory once-off setup fee   
  Bulk email sending rates exclude the design of the newsletter template, copy writing and images  
   All data collected for the clients data base is the sole property of the client and will not be sold or used for any other clients  
  Bulk email sending credits need to be purchased in order to send emails  
     
  Email Newsletters  
  Email newsletter design and development rates exclude the newsletter sending costs  
  Basic topics and any rates required for the newsletter to be sent to Social Connect, in due time  
  The newsletter will be sent to proof in the text phase – to be signed off before it will be designed  
  The newsletter will be sent to proof in the design phase – to be signed off before it will be sent to the data base  
     
  Updates to your website (non-monthly management clients)  
  Once your website has been completed any content changes or any design and development alterations will be charged at R385 per hour.

  We will provide you with a quotation first  
 
 
     
  Payment  
  Once both parties have agreed for the project to go ahead a 75% deposit is required to start the project and the balance is due once the project has gone live. NO REFUNDS will be made  
     
 

Monthly Management Fees

 
  Clients on monthly management contracts: Invoices will be sent out before the end each month for Monthly Fees and payment is due within 7 days  
  All monthly management fees are exclusive of all 3rd party costs and fees and these will be for the clients additional expense. All such expenses need to be paid for in full before any campaigns will begin     
  Parties to agree to a 1 month written cancellation notice period  
  Social Connect reserves the right to suspend any account without warning (website removed from the internet and email services placed on hold) in the event that the monthly management fee payment has not been made  
     
     
  Social Connect reserves the right to provide services and products to clients with in same industry, without any prior consent.
